Level 1 & 2 KM
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
This program
focuses on Strategic and Operational Planning, Project/Program
Management and Estimation, Team Planning and Selection,
Economic Analysis, etc. In short, the focus is on general management
issues needed to successfully manage a KM program. The program
prepares the practitioner to analyze and engineer
spatial, functional, technological, cultural, social,
and communication mechanisms within a knowledge and
innovation environment to increase the quality, flow,
and availability of knowledge and accelerate the rate of
innovation. This person is qualified to engineer most
knowledge environments to increase the rate of
innovation, i.e., medical research, pharmaceutical,
chemical, food labs, insurance, health care, scientific,
software development, and other environments. Training
includes the process of meta-innovation to accelerate the innovation process.
The Professional
development program also includes instruction on the techniques and instruments needed
to conduct knowledge econometric analysis and design
interventions for human knowledge production systems to
lower costs, improve efficiency, and increase
productivity (Knowledge Economics). Program education and instruments are based on the
works of generations of knowledge economists such as
Francis Bacon, Schumpeter, Hayek, Solow, Boulding,
Arrow, Mansfield, Nelson, Winters, von Hippel, Rosenburg,
Romer, Stiglitz, and many others.
